Cynthia Ona Innis
Considering this blog is so new, I'm embarrassed to be sharing yet another of Abbey's finds on Aesthetic Outburst. But these paintings by Cynthia Ona Innes are marvelous. Having just posted about Alex Kanevsky, I'm interested in the way their palettes overlap, the extreme value contrasts and strange temperature shifts - I really like that icy blue and ochre/sienna combo. It's an odd association, but another artist who used that a lot was Degas.
